Well it’s been a while everyone out there in base jump world but it is time for another quick report of life in the dumb lane.
It was definitely time to ring the minister for over it with my broken scafoid. I ended up being in a cast for 4 ½ months. I'm thinking now that breaking my pelvis would have been easier than this shitty little bone. The one thing I have learnt from this is that you need to stand up for your self when being attacked by 50 Thai midget pole dancers ha ha.

Because of my troll wall bust last year, the Norwegian government thought it best to take my parachute from me so they can jump it off the troll wall them selves, but because of the hugs generosity of my sponsors I now have an amazing new and sexy base rig. I need to say a huge thanks to Bob and Kathy from Morpheus, Stane from Atair, Robert from Phoenix Fly, and Cookie and Jeremy from www.cookiecomposites.com for their amazing and continued support through good and bad.

My first real jump back was quite exiting; it was a small building on the gold coast called the Q1. It’s the tallest residential building in the world apparently.

With some great planning we managed to get to the roof and be the first 2 dudes to jump the completed structure. We got away clean but we didn’t take into account that our ground crew sits down to piss and when his number plate was taken and he was contacted by the cops he folded and basically dobbed us in which didn’t make me a happy chappie. So what followed was a quite public and funny court case in which there were tonnes of media awaiting outside. Its funny how murder, rape and armed robbery are nothing these days but if you jump off a building you’re a total criminal. No wonder this planet is dying out, it is filled with knob jockeys. We ended up with a $750 fine for our troubles and it would’ve been worse if it wasn’t for our super barrister “Sarge” thanks mate. Also thanks to Michaela and Matt for looking after us criminals up there. Channel Ten took my footage without permission as usual so I took the news story that they did and put it on you tube and it is also now on the website for all to see. I just want to quickly put this up there as well in capitol letters “THE AUSTRALIAN MEDIA ARE TOTAL SPINELESS WANKERS” you all know who you are you cocksucking blood suckers.

While I was waiting for court I headed off to NZ to learn the sport of mountaineering with legendary mountaineer Rex Pemberton. www.rexpemberton.com. He is the youngest Aussie to climb the 7 summits and I was keen to learn from the best.

We were choppered into Pioneer Hut on top of the fox glacier where we would spend the next 6 days in absolutely perfect weather learning how not to die in the mountains. We did some ice climbing, crevasse rescue and the usual climbing mountain stuff. I also leant to ski by the owner of peak teams, Shane Toohey. The quickest way to learn to ski is to be put in the middle of a crevasse field and be told not to fall over as they are 60 meters deep. I came unstuck quite a bit but got the hang of it when it mattered and I promise there will be no more gay ski jokes from now on because it was bloody hard.
I managed to have my 31st b'day up there as well with a couple of beers and a block of chocolate, nice.

Pioneer Hut

We flew off the mountain with a couple of days to spare so Rex and I went down to Queenstown to run amuck, and we definitely did. We managed to get in 2 base jumps down there thanks to Glen Powell and some amazing ground launching from treble cone mountain. 10 years earlier I bungied from the pipeline bungy and this trip I got to BASE jump from it which was intense but very cool. We also got to jump a 500 ft cliff with a 2000ft canopy ride on private property which was all time. It's nice to know our neighbouring country isn’t as anal as our own. As soon as the sun went down it was party time, and we both made sure we couldn’t walk on both nights. I managed to have sex in my first wicked van that was painted like a ninja turtle. I can now tick that one off the list ha ha. A huge thanks to Rex, Shane, Glen and Rob for a truly amazing time in NZ.

Well what’s coming up in the coming months? Well fcuk all actually. The banks want their money back and my new car can't stop breaking down so for the first time since 99 I am going to see a winter. It's already bloody cold, I hope it doesn’t get any worse.

I will be taking a 3-week break in august to participate in the KL tower display in Malaysia run by Gary Cunningham. My Father is also coming over so he can push me off a building and get some wind tunnel time. Nice one Dad! I am also busy editing what will hopefully be my final video called “the loose dudes”, same old shit from all around the world of the awesome tour we had last year.
I’m also working on 2 books which I am sure will be very interesting reading to say the least. Here is an extract from one of them…

And in late July our China documentary” journey to the center” will finally be released and it's going to be gold.

So if you ever feel like shitting in your own hand and throwing it at someone, make sure they are from the Australian media.. ha ha
